Nine

Wise counsel is no help
To me, who suffered
In solitude, lips sealed.
But this joy beyond words
knows no bounds

Eight

Words dry up
Ideas try in vain
To capture the state of mind
the mind is in no state.

Seven

I know soon
Will I be lifted
far above
To paint
the clouds
with
Colours
unseen.

Six

Wanting more of it
I wish to stop nowhere
Pulled below, Lifted high.
Connect the high and the low
If you will.

Five

It erupts and explodes
Leaving no centre
Just the light of love
No darkness anywhere

Four

And it’s all around
Multiplying
From the centre
That is unseen.

Three

Once there…..I know not what happens
So ask me not.
There is but pure joy.
verse by Aliashesh

Two

Neither wine nor lips…only ecstasy
Not me anymore, not the world anymore
Only being…
Will you put me through there?

One

Value of my life…nothing
Of my belongings…little more
Everything mine….nothing
only living.

Welcome

This blog features poetry by my friend, Aliashesh, with graphic support from me based on assorted art nude photography from all over the world. I am sure all artistes will rejoice in this opportunity to pay tribute to one of the greatest poetic influences in the world. Rumi is the poet of poets.

Aliashesh says about him -
Mevlana Jelaluddin Rumi (1207-1273) is remembered as a
mystic poet of the Sufi order.
He wrote in Persian and lived in what is now a part of Turkey.
The eight centuries that have passed since his birth have only added to his stature as a World Poet.
This tribute of eighteen verses celebrates the immortal spirit of Rumi.

So come, rejoice and rejuvenate, ye kindred souls!
